Come and enjoy a couple of hours of linocutting where you create an original carved image printed onto cards, tags or picture for framing or gifting .

In this workshop, you will use the provided seasonal inspirations to carve and print your own image onto paper for framing or gifting or cards and tags. You will be guided on how to plan, use the linocutting tools and printing materials to create your unique lino print. 

You will use different lino tools to make marks, carve out your design and print onto natural papers using a mini-press or a choice of hand tools.

This is a relaxed and fun course suitable for beginners aged 16+.

Drawing skills are not necessary to enjoy this workshop.

What to expect:

• Tea and Coffee on arrival.
• A choice of seasonal reference images will be available
• You will be guided through the satisfying process of linocut printmaking, the steps, carving tools, ink and printing.  
• Advised how to transfer your image onto the carving block. 
• You will learn how to carve the Lino, ink and print your image.
• All materials and tools provided
• You can expect to take home a small edition of original linocut prints on either card stock, tags or a print on paper,
• Opportunity to purchase a drink and food once the Gardeners Rest is officially open.

What to Bring:
Please wear old clothes as printing can get messy and bring an apron if you have one.

Due to closeness of workshop dates all fees are non-refundable however life does happen so 50% of this workshop’s fee will be deducted from any future workshop purchases by prior agreement.

If the course is cancelled?
In the unlikely event the course is cancelled by Anne or the venue, a full refund will be issued or, if you prefer, you can be transferred to another course.
