Linocut
Animal companions are the best! They give so much and my dog, Bosch, is my delight. Seeing animals relaxed and resting tells you they are happy and content.
This image came about from a project I worked on with Sam Marshall writing a book about sketching. Sketching however, whatever, whenever, wherever and taking a few minutes to engage in the process without an end goal. “Sleeping” is my response to drawing everyday objects around the house and the prompt “Something to Stroke”.
This print is created by carving a block with specialist linocutting tools. Ink is then rolled onto the lino block and hand burnished with a barren to transfer the ink onto the paper. Each print will have natural differences as it is a hands on, one at a time process. Printed using Cranfield relief inks. All signed.
